Saving vulnerable people

Utunzaji's first and most important mission is to position the SOS Coin so that it helps to save vulnerable people facing immediate danger, wherever they find themselves without access to a mobile phone, a smart watch, or other communication devices.

Creating jobs

At heart Utunzaji (Pty) Ltd is a business and entrepreneurial endeavour aimed at the creation of jobs and of income on the African continent and across developing economies, so that it contributes towards certainty and security for staff members and their families while, ultimately, helping to save vulnerable people from perishing irrespective of who they are, where they are, or what their personal circumstances generally are.

Attending to safety and disaster relief

The SOS coin is conceived to serve as the front-end of a wider open-ended safety and disaster relief platform. The alert created by the user when in distress is to be communicated to local and global alert networks, enabling local tracking agencies, international agencies, and humanitarian organizations to constantly remain updated about the location of people in distress, whatever the cause, as long as they have pressed the button on their SOS Coin.

Human rights, safety and sustainability

Access to safe living spaces is a basic human right, and so is a safe and sustainable future for all. Therefore, a final aspect of the Utunzaji vision is to conceive of, develop, design and promote a defensible space platform where people across the world can list their organizations, their efforts, and their contact details in order to combine forces towards a defensible living space which is safer and sustainable for all.
